Our Story

The name Hummingbird Healing was born from a moment that felt like a quiet message from the universe.

My dear office mate and friend, Laura, passed away in late spring of 2024. She was a strong, adventurous, and deeply independent woman who truly beat to her own drum. Laura lived life on her own terms and embraced it fully. Her journey was not always easy—she had the courage to walk away from toxic relationships and repeatedly chose her own freedom, healing, and self-respect. That strength and determination were part of what made her spirit so powerful and unforgettable.

One day, while texting with her sister and sharing memories of Laura and the things she loved, her sister mentioned that Laura had always loved hummingbirds. At that exact moment, a news article about hummingbird migration appeared on my computer screen. The timing felt too perfect to ignore. It felt like a small but profound sign—one of those moments where the veil between memory, love, and spirit feels very thin. From that day on, hummingbirds have become a symbol of Laura’s presence and the enduring connection we share with those we love.

The inspiration for Hummingbird Healing deepened when Laura’s land and home were later placed for sale. The description painted a picture of a peaceful, natural sanctuary—a place where women could gather, rest, heal, and reconnect with themselves. Although I wasn’t able to purchase the property, the vision stayed with me. It planted the seed for something meaningful.

Out of grief, remembrance, and hope, Hummingbird Healing LLC was created. The hummingbird symbolizes resilience, transformation, and the ability to find sweetness even after hardship. Like the hummingbird, we are capable of incredible strength despite our size, and we can move forward with grace, courage, and lightness of spirit.

This space and this work are dedicated to honoring Laura and the loved ones who continue to guide us in unseen ways. Hummingbird Healing exists as a place for reflection, restoration, and renewal—a reminder that even the smallest wings can carry powerful healing.
