Therapy Services

Individual therapy is a supportive, one‑on‑one process between you and a licensed mental health professional. It provides a safe, private space to explore your experiences, understand what’s beneath the surface, and develop meaningful strategies for healing and growth.

At the heart of individual therapy is a strong therapeutic relationship — one built on trust, honesty, and compassion. This connection creates a foundation where real change can happen.

During sessions, we use evidence‑based approaches tailored to your unique needs, goals, and lived experiences. Together, we work to uncover patterns, build resilience, and help you move toward a more grounded, empowered version of yourself.

Individual psychotherapy at my practice effectively addresses a wide range of mental health conditions, including:

  • Trauma and PTSD

  • Grief and loss

  • Anxiety disorders

  • Depression and moderate depression

  • Relationship difficulties

Telemedicine is an option for my clients, as well as in person services. I am PsyPact Telemedicine credentialed to provide telemed services in participating PsyPact States!

Therapeutic Approaches: Types of Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps you create space for difficult thoughts and emotions while moving toward what truly matters to you. Instead of trying to eliminate discomfort, ACT teaches skills for acceptance, mindfulness, and psychological flexibility. This approach empowers you to let go of struggle, stay present, and take meaningful action aligned with your values — even in the face of challenges.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you identify and shift unhelpful thoughts and behavior patterns that contribute to emotional distress. This structured, practical approach teaches you how your thoughts, feelings, and actions are connected, giving you the tools to interrupt negative cycles and build healthier, more empowering patterns in their place.

Cognitive Processing Therapy

Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) helps individuals understand and reframe unhelpful beliefs related to traumatic experiences. Trauma can shift the way we see ourselves, others, and the world. CPT provides a structured, evidence‑based framework to examine these stuck points, reduce feelings of guilt or blame, and develop healthier, more balanced perspectives.
This approach supports healing by helping you make sense of what happened and reclaim a sense of safety, identity, and empowerment.

Prolonged Exposure Therapy

Prolonged Exposure (PE) Therapy helps individuals gently confront the memories, emotions, and situations they’ve been avoiding because of trauma. Avoidance often provides short‑term relief but can keep trauma symptoms alive. PE uses a step‑by‑step, evidence‑based process to face these experiences in a safe and supportive environment.
Through repeated, guided exposure, your nervous system learns that the trauma is in the past, reducing fear and restoring a sense of control, confidence, and freedom.
